Kenya will later in August 2009 hold a conference aimed at promoting security in the Eastern Region. At least 10 Countries will be represented by  150 delegates.

The event organized by African Centre for Strategic Studies (ACSS ),Kenya chapter (an NGO) collaborating with Dalbit International will sponsor this meeting which will be held in Nairobi, and published in one of the local dailies.

"Persistent conflicts hamper business growth not only in the region but Africa at large." - Margaret Mbaka, Dalbit's Group Corporate Affairs Director. This she said while addressing a news conference on the 4th of August 2009 as Dalbit International presented a cheque for Sh2.5 Million to ACSS for this initiative.

"The conference will mark an important beginning in the quest for formulate policiesthat will guarantee not only growth but peace of mind to investors who view the region as African Eden for success" -she continued. - Kenya Times 5th Aug 2009
