JCG Chief Operating Officer
Hellen joined JCG in 2017 as Chief Officer People and Culture. She was promoted to Chief Operations Officer in March 2022 reporting to the CEO. As COO, she oversees the Legal, Marketing and Communication, Real Estate, Hospitality, Conservancy and Projects, Procurement, and People and Culture Functions. Her overall responsibility is to design, develop and implement initiatives that will enable the execution of the business strategic goals.
Hellen’s career in Human Resources spans over 27 years and has worked extensively in Energy, Banking, Manufacturing, and Infrastructure development projects. She has developed and implemented talent management programs that have entailed aligning the culture of organizations with the business strategy and hence delivered unique value propositions for the organizations she has been associated with. Among her key achievements has been transforming organisations into high performing and highly engaged organisations, developing and transitioning HR functions as business enablers and developing HR cost models that align HR initiatives as an investment with a clear ROI.
Hellen is a graduate of the University of Nairobi where she attained a BA degree. She holds an MBA (specializing in Human Resource) from Moi University and a Post graduate Certificate in Organization and Business Psychology from the University of Liverpool. She also is trained on Organization Culture Management at Maastricht Business School. Hellen is also an alumni of Strathmore Business schools and IESE Business School where she attended Advanced Management Programmes.
